ATLAS / PRIVACY
Your desktop.
Your privacy.
This policy covers the native ATLAS iPad app, the ATLAS Host Mac companion and this product website.
Your devices, directly connected
During an authorized session, screen video travels from your Mac to your iPad. Keyboard, pointer and touch input travel to your Mac. Clipboard text is exchanged only when you enable clipboard sharing, which is off by default.
Optional file handoff sends files between your paired devices through the encrypted session. The Mac host must allow file transfer; you choose each outgoing file and accept incoming Mac files on iPad. Received files remain on the receiving device until you remove them. Files are not opened or executed automatically.
No developer-operated content server
The native apps do not send your screen, input, clipboard or transferred files to a developer-operated server. Connections use Apple’s encrypted networking frameworks. The pairing secret is stored in the device’s Keychain. ATLAS has no developer-run account, advertising or analytics service.
Preferences and diagnostics
Connection preferences stay on your device. Local diagnostics may include network endpoint addresses, output dimensions, connection status and frame/timing metrics. They are not uploaded automatically. Review a diagnostic file before choosing to share it with support.
Permissions and separate services
The Mac companion needs Screen Recording to share its desktop and Accessibility for remote input. File access is limited by operating-system permissions. If you use Tailscale, it is a separate service with its own privacy policy and terms; it is not included in ATLAS.
This website
The interactive preview runs locally in your browser. It does not establish a Mac connection or upload your notes or sample files. This website does not add advertising or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may process normal request metadata to operate and secure the site under its own policies. The site loads its fonts and artwork from this domain.
Support correspondence
If you email us, we receive the message and contact details you choose to include. We use them to respond to your request. Do not include pairing secrets, passwords, sensitive documents or an unreviewed diagnostic file.
Your controls
Disconnect on the iPad or stop ATLAS Host to end access. Turn off saved-pairing access to require approval again, or use Revoke pairing on the host to invalidate its key. Revoke capture and input permissions in macOS Settings. Received files can be deleted in Files or Finder. Removing an app removes its container data; Keychain items may persist separately.
Contact Support@bartlabs.in. Never send your pairing secret or passwords.
